By watching practice on Friday, it would be hard to tell that the Ravens are a team with their playoff lives on the line and getting ready to play the undefeated Indianapolis Colts. The players seemed loose coming off the field, singing loudly and joking with the media and each other.
Ravens safety Ed Reed totaled five tackles last Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, but he wishes he could have netted three more. Three times, Reed failed to fully wrap up his man and the one-armed tackles were broken up. A major complication in bringing in a player of Johnson’s caliber is actually keeping him in a Ravens’ uniform because so many other teams are willing to spend big bucks for an athlete with such skill sets. However, one of the main reasons Johnson continues to play so well, and in a Ravens’ uniform is because of one thing – loyalty.
